The Annual Jeffrey Woods Festival will take place on Saturday, March 2nd from 8a-2p at the Bexley Pool Parking Lot. Join us as we take harvested sugar maple sap and turn it into Kelveden Maple Syrup. You can watch, learn, and participate in the production of real maple syrup from the harvesting process all the way to bottling. The Wood Chop Shop will also take place during the festival. Wood Chop Shop participants must pre-register (spots are limited) for a 1.5 hr timeslot where they will have access to process, using a wood splitter, as much fire wood as they can handle. Starting plants from seed and transplanting

Guests will have the ability to buy a soil-blocking tool at a discounted price for attending.

Guests will leave with a tray of seed starts in blocked soil.

All tools and materials will be provided by Yellowood Farm. A variety of seeds will be provided or guests can bring their own.

Galentine's Tea Party

We’ll do a tea tasting and create tea blends together!

Create your own custom blend of tea, using ingredients from our farm. Take home your custom blend in either loose leaf form or in compostable tea bags.

Guests can also create their own bouquet from a special Galentine’s Bouquet Buffet.

**This will be hosted inside of The Farmstead at Yellowood Farm (our Airbnb rental home). Please park in front of The Outpost, there will be a path of lanterns lit to the front porch of the Airbnb house.

Ink and Flower Printing

Create your own flower printed post cards. We will be working with inks and paints, so please wear clothing that you don’t mind getting messy - or bring an apron!

Each guest will design their own cards using pressed flowers and folliage. Using a roller and ink/paint we will create impressions of the designs on notecards together. Guest will each leave with 4 pieces of artwork to frame or share!

Guests will pick from a selection of vintage vessels and create their own arrangement using dried florals, foliage, and branches from our farm. Knitting Introduction Workshop

Guests will learn basic knitting skills during this class. We’ll explore different types and sizes of needles yarn types. Each guest will recieve a set of size 19 needles and yarn to create their own funnel scarf.
The goals of this class:
Casting on (get the yarn on the needles)
Basic knitting stitch (make the scarf)
Casting off (get the yarn off the needles)
Close the scarf (crochet the two ends together)

**Why would we have you create a scarf on. your first go-around? To create muscle memory. More than creating an object — the bigger goal here is to teach your muscles what it feels like to knit. If we are successful at this, the next time you pick up knitting needles, your brain will already know what to do.

**Each guest will leave with their handmade scarf and knitting needles.

**This workshop will be hosted inside of our woodshop, there is a wood-burning stove, but please dress warmly just in case.

No better way to learn a new skill than diving right in! Together we will create leather book corners! A beautiful way to mark your page — we will take time to allow guests to choose their own thread color and design their stamp pattern.
